Judy Wiechers was born and raised in the bay area. While watching her children grow Judy spent most of her spare time working with charity and non-profit groups planning events. In 1994, Judy and her family moved to the Sacramento area, where she took on the position as office manager and paralegal in a Sacramento based international law office.
In 2002, Judy went to work for Ludy’s Main Street BBQ & Catering. Over the past 9 years Judy has been the Catering Director at Ludy’s and watched the Ludy’s Catering develop and grow. She has planned, along with her renowned catering team, hundreds of events from beginning to end. Her love of people, friendly and upbeat attitude, attention to detail and ability to organize all aspects of a function has resulted in hundreds of successful events over the years.
Her philosophy is simple: The client relationship is paramount. Judy believes in listening to her clients and helping them to achieve their goals for a successful catered event. Each event is given the personal attention needed to meet the client’s wishes. She knows that only through detailed communication can the goals of her clients be met.
Judy’s depth of knowledge is invaluable. Event planning and catering can be an intimidating process, and there are many tasks that can easily be overlooked. Judy’s experience provides her with a wealth of information to share with the client, which ultimately translates into a smooth, calm and efficient planning process. Judy and her catering team have helped to make Ludy’s Catering a name known by many for their great food and unsurpassable customer service.
The free lunch we were treated to by Ludy’s was all that and more. They brought all the utensils, plates and napkins and stayed to make sure that food was warm and ready for the whole staff, There was no sales pitch–only a delicious lunch–and plenty of mouth-watering ribs, juicy chicken and lovely brownies.
